The website where you can share your opinions with the world.

Welcome to Opinionfest

Are you tired of having the media, pundits and experts of every stripe tell you what to think, or should think? Have any of them ever asked you? And what about our politicians, who all seem to believe they know what’s best for us? How many of the thousands of laws that regulate, control and tax us do you think are wrong, too complex or unfair? How often do any of these people really speak for you? How often do any of them actually reflect your personal thinking and values?

If you have ever wanted to have your say, speak your mind, answer an editorial or letter to the editor, Opinionfest is the place where you can do it.

The Opinionfest website is for those who are frustrated and fed up with being muzzled by politically correct speech and editorial censorship, who are tired of reading articles and opinions they do not agree with but cannot answer, who have tried submitting letters to the editor that were not accepted (or didn’t conform to the editor’s politics).

Read Opinionfest and see what others think about the subjects that interest you - and answer them. How many times have you wished you could do that when you read something in the newspaper or online that you disagreed with, or that you felt missed an important point – or the point.

Opinionfest presents not just our opinions, but those of others as well. You can comment, agree or disagree as you wish.

This is an open invitation. Speak up! Get it off your chest! Let others know how you feel, what you believe! Send your letters, articles or columns to us.

Here are the ground rules:

  1. You must register as a member of the Opinionfest website.
  2. Date your letter or article. Include your name, town and phone number (for verification purposes and for our email list). If you can’t or won’t tell us who you are and where you live, we will not run your letter. However, if you wish, we will protect your privacy by using only your initials with your message.
  3. One subject (topic) per letter.
  4. All letters, articles, etc. must be approved by our editor before being published on the Opinionfest web site. We reserve the right to decline to post any letter, article or column that we think is not appropriate for any reason, including inappropriate language, ad hominem attacks on individuals or groups, etc.
